"My paintings are interpretations of the places and scenes I have seen on my travels. I try to convey my emotion through color and composition. Simplifying, distilling, refining--I work to capture the essence of the scene. The more I leave out, the more the viewer will put in."

Jinx Wright

Education:
Jinx Wright graduated from Emporia State University. She continued in fine art education at Kansas University, Fort Hays State University, Adams State College, Western State College and the University of Northern Colorado.

Professional: A high school art instructor for 33 years, Jinx retired to become a full time painter. She has given numerous painting demonstrations and lectures throughout the midwest. She is a member of the Hutchinson Art Association and a Signature Member of the Kansas Watercolor Society
