"The paintings represented the full scope and breadth of the watercolor medium and the final choices were difficult. I looked at all of the slides many times over several days before I began the process of selection.   Some of the paintings which caught my eye initially became less interesting with the repeated viewings.   Conversely, more subtle paintings sometimes gained credibility.  In the end, I selected work which I believe strongly displays the diversity, excitement and skill that characterize watermedia today. "
